Well, we did outscore our opponents for the tournament. Unfortunately, only one of those goals came in the semifinal and we lost 2-1.
Still, a decent tournament. We all get along well, so there's no finger-pointing our bad-mouthing folks after a disappointing game. There's talk of putting the team into the regular league here in Jersey.
The best part of the weekend was being able to make it a vacation with the lovely Ladybug. Nice dinner at the Brasserie with a teammate and his fiancé. After our premature ouster we went to the Texas Roadhouse to drown our sorrows in tasty beverage and well-grilled varieties of cow. Good times, though we'd rather have been celebrating.
Lancaster will run another one in the fall, and we can come back with a full season of experience.
