Even the Grinch is sad

Thanks for everything, Thurl Ravenscroft.

One of the most recognizable voices, and least recognizable faces, Thurl Ravenscroft had a long, varied career in song and voice; but for my generation he was famous primarily for two things: "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch," and Tony the Tiger.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.

What a fantastic voice he had. Such a pure deep bass. The only voice I've heard come close to it is the bass in South Pacific during "There Ain't Nothing Like A Dame"

Somebody we all grew up with- and I never knew his name. Thanks for posting.
